Job Description:

  • The Patient Services Representative II represents the face of the company to patients as part of their health routine or for life-defining health decisions.
  • This role is responsible for drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory testing while following established practices and procedures.
  • The role involves direct patient contact and requires creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and performing blood draws in a safe, accurate, and skillful manner.
  • The position demonstrates leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy of patient information.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
  • Strong customer focus and effective communication skills.
  • Reliable transportation with a valid driver license and clean driving record.
Experience:
  • One to three years of phlebotomy experience including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Minimum two years of experience in a Patient Service Center preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment strongly preferred.
  • Keyboard and data entry experience required.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment.
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established procedures.
  • Verify patient demographic information, initials, and signatures post-venipuncture to ensure proper labeling in the patient s presence.
  • Maintain required records and documentation.
  • Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
Qualification And Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
