Job Description: The Phlebotomist I (PSR I) is the first point of contact for patients visiting for routine health checks or other medical testing. This role involves drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and maintaining accurate records while providing excellent patient care. The PSR I demonstrates leadership behaviors, ensures process excellence, and handles patient information with confidentiality and accuracy. Requirement/Must Have: Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections. Flexible schedule to cover weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime. Experience: Minimum 6 months phlebotomy experience required. One or more years preferred. Customer service experience in retail or service environment preferred. Keyboard/data entry experience required. Responsibilities: Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties with confidence and accuracy. Maintain a safe and professional work environment. Accurately enter results and maintain records of testing. Demonstrate effective communication and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public. Follow established procedures for patient verification, specimen handling, and safety standards. Skills: Phlebotomy (venipuncture) including pediatric and geriatric patients. Specimen collection, labeling, and preparation for laboratory testing. Customer service and patient communication. Data entry and documentation. Qualification And Education: High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED. Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
