Job Description:
  • The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the company to patients visiting for routine care or critical health decisions.
  • The PSR II is responsible for drawing quality blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring all procedures are performed safely, accurately, and in compliance with established guidelines.
  • This role requires direct patient interaction, strong customer focus, and the ability to work across multiple locations as business needs dictate.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.
  • Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to multiple locations as required.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
Experience:
  • 1 3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Experience in a patient service center environment preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment strongly preferred.
  • Keyboard and data entry experience required.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment.
  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures.
  • Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient signature post-venipuncture to confirm correct specimen labeling.
  • Maintain required records and documentation accurately.
  • Promote a positive image of the organization to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Qualification And Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred.
