Administrative Assistant

The Administrative Assistant provides essential support to executives and teams by managing schedules, handling correspondence, and performing a variety of clerical and organizational tasks. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This is a contract to hire opportunity located near Lake Bluff, IL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and mail.
  • Prepare and maintain documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Organize and maintain office files and records; ensure confidentiality.
  • Monitor and order office supplies; manage vendor relationships for office equipment.
  • Assist with travel arrangements and expense reporting.
  • Support special projects by conducting research and preparing reports.
  • Greet visitors, answer inquiries, and provide general office support.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with ERP systems (e.g., Tyler Munis, SAP) is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

Job Details:

  • Contract to Hire
  • 100% Onsite
  • Pay $21-$26 an hour depending on experience
