ASML develops lithography machines for microchips, collaborating globally to innovate in semiconductor manufacturing. The Legal & Compliance department manages legal compliance, including export control, which is overseen by the Export Control & Sanctions team and the Trade Data Management team. The Trade Data Management team ensures compliance with export regulations through product classification, sanctions screening, and licensing. Role and responsibilities
The Export Control specialist will ensure transaction compliance with export regulations, determine product classifications, and support licensing processes. Responsibilities include: Investigate sanctions list matches Review transactions for export license requirements Monitor license usage Prepare export control reports Implement compliance controls Improve processes and reporting Key user for trade monitoring applications Establish relationships across departments such as Logistics and Export Control & Sanctions. Education and experience
Minimum of a Bachelors degree in a technical or legal field, with at least 5 years in an export control role within a technical company. Knowledge of EU and US export laws, experience with trade compliance systems (Oracle GTM, SAP GTS), and screening experience are required. Experience in the semiconductor industry or risk management is a plus. Skills
Strong drive, structured work style, excellent communication, multicultural adaptability, analytical skills, time management, ownership, attention to detail, and fluency in English. Other information
The role is based in San Diego, CA, with part-time remote work. Salary is $81,750-$136,250, determined by experience and skills. Benefits include health insurance, 401k, vacation, and holidays.
