Human Resources Coordinator

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and technical support to one or more functional areas within Human Resources.

Major Duties:

  • Prepares and conducts new hire orientation for hourly and salaried employees and prepares new files;
  • Coordinates and processes the enrollment of new and existing employees into flexible benefits during open enrollment periods;
  • Verifies and enters personnel transactions for hourly and salaried employees into PeopleSoft;
  • Coordinates HR programs and campaigns;
  • Manage the random drug testing;
  • Processes separation notices (DOL);
  • Process employment verifications;
  • Assists with disciplinary actions;
  • Composes recruitment announcements and processes selection of candidates;
  • Receives and processes criminal, credit, and motor vehicle background requests and I9 Verifications;
  • Maintains job postings/requisitions on Team Ca Careers.
  • Provides information to employees regarding the employment application and interviewing process.
  • Assists hiring managers with candidate selection, interviews and candidate communications as needed.
  • Performs general clerical duties such as answering the phone, maintaining files and other related duties; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

Competencies:

  • Knowledge of human resources policies and procedures;
  • Knowledge of employment processes;
  • Skill in the operation of computer and job related software programs;
  • Oral and written communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree and three (3) years of work experience;
  • Note: Experience may substitute for degree on a year for year basis.

Driver's License Requirement: Valid GA Driver License

Physical Demands:

  • The employee occasionally lifts or moves objects of a light to medium weight.
  • Work is typically performed with the employee sitting at a desk in an office environment with intermittent sitting, standing, or walking in various settings.
  • The employee must be able to lift to 25 pounds.
  • Full range of hand and finger motion is utilized for data entry purposes.

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to peer groups or other training/conferences, other campuses, and various locations

Training Requirements:

  • Employee understands and agrees to complete all required trainings, to include those mandated by the State of Georgia Governor, by stated deadlines, as a condition of employment.
