We provide consulting services in the areas of Strategy, Process Improvement, Change Management, Program and Project Management, Acquisition/Procurement, and Information Technology. Responsibilities and Duties OCT Consulting is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Human Resources Generalist with 3-5 years of HR-related experience to join our HR team. You will work closely with the HR Manager and the VP of Operations to support key HR programs, policies, and employee services. Duties include, but are not limited to:/pulliHelp coordinate HR services, policies, and procedures to include policy development, interpretation, and implementation/liliAssist with recruiting and onboarding processes, including scheduling interviews, preparing new hire paperwork, coordinating orientation, supporting data collection, analysis, and presentation./liliSupport benefits administration, including helping employees with questions and assisting with open enrollment./liliAdministers 401(k) plans with expertise in ERISA compliance, contribution processing, forfeitures allocation, nondiscrimination testing, annual reporting requirements (5500 filings), and participant communications, ensuring adherence to IRS and DOL regulations/liliMaintain and update employee records and HR documents./liliAssist in organizing employee engagement activities such as virtual events, team recognition, and in-person events./liliHelp track performance reviews and maintain documentation./liliConduct and document exit interviews and assist with analyzing trends to improve retention./liliProvide administrative support for employee relations tasks, including disciplinary processes and investigations./liliSupport and, eventually, manage HR compliance efforts, including recordkeeping, EEO, and VETS reporting./liliHelp coordinate paperwork for government suitability or security clearance processes, supporting Corporate Program Managers and other client-facing teams./liliPerform other HR and office-related administrative duties as requested./li/ulpQualifications/Requirements:/pulliMust be a U.S. Citizen./liliMust have 3-5 years of demonstrated HR experience, preferably in an office supporting 75+ employees./liliBachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field./liliRelevant HR certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR (highly desired)./liliStrong mathematical and analytical abilities, with excellent problem-solving skills./liliStrong written and verbal communication skills/liliDemonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively across teams and functional areas./liliHigh level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality./liliStrong organizational skills and attention to detail./liliAbility to manage time effectively and meet deadlines./liliProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)./liliProficient in Google Workspace tools, including Docs, Sheets, and Drive/liliMust have a willingness and drive to continue to grow their own knowledge of HR systems and processes./liliDoD Clearance is a plus, but not required./liliMust be able to reliably commute to McLean, VA (Tysons Corner) on a daily basis./li/ulpOCT offers competitive compensation packages and a full suite of benefits which includes:/pulliMedical, Dental, and Vision insurance/liliRetirement savings 401K plan provided by an industry leading provider with 3% employer contributions of the employees gross salary/liliPaid Time Off and Standard Government Holidays/liliLife Insurance, Short- and Long-Term disability benefits/liliTraining Benefits/li/ulpSalary Range: $70,000-$80,000 yearly commensurate with experience, education, etc. This is a temporary 3-month position with the possibility of becoming a permanent role based on performance and business needs./ppAbout OCT Consulting OCT Consulting LLC is a minority-owned, Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) providing professional services and information technology solutions to the Federal government and commercial clients.
