Helper Overview Join our dynamic team as a Helper, where you will play a crucial role in supporting craft workers on construction or maintenance projects. You will gain valuable hands‑on experience, work alongside experienced professionals, and contribute to a safety‑focused environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the setup of equipment by hand or machine.
Load, transport, unload, and furnish craft workers with materials, tools, and equipment.
Clean work area and restock supplies as needed.
Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing journeyman’s tools and equipment.
Abide by the company Safety and QA/QC programs, OSHA rules, and regulations.
Work overtime and maintain regular, punctual attendance.
Proactively initiate and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
Qualifications
High school education or equivalent is required.
Previous on‑job training on a construction site is required.
Proficiency with hand tools related to specific tasks or crafts.
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds frequently.
Must climb up and down ladders, stairs, scaffolds, and other structures while carrying tools and equipment.
Must stand or walk for long periods.
Must use arms and hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects.
Must repeat short-duration tasks according to a set procedure.
Must tolerate temperature fluctuations, loud noises, dust, and high‑voltage electromagnetic fields.
