Maintenance Manager – Essential Functions

Oversee maintenance of injection molding, blow molding and packaging equipment.

Oversee activities of the maintenance department.

Collaborate with Production Manager to schedule preventative maintenance activities.

Build a world‑class mechanical and preventative maintenance team that keeps production equipment in excellent condition, maintains high efficiencies and proper stock of parts.

Oversee outside contractors performing installations and projects at the facility.

Interface with others to ensure customer deadlines are met.

Hire, train, coach and review performance of employees; work with HR for employee discipline issues, terminations and recruitment.

Oversee safety team activities; monitor and enforce safety requirements.

Build a positive work environment.

Develop, recommend and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.

Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department or work crew.

Analyze and resolve work problems, or assist workers in solving work problems.

Maintain time and maintenance records.

Develop capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost and cycle times.

Estimate, requisition and inspect materials.

Regular and predictable attendance is essential.

Qualifications – Minimum

6 Years – Experience in field or similar manufacturing environment.

6 Years – Experience in position.

4 Years – Experience managing people/projects.

Qualifications – Preferred

10+ Years – Experience in field or similar manufacturing environment.

10+ Years – Experience working in position.

6 Years – Experience managing people/projects.

Competencies

Performs work under direct supervision.

Handles basic issues and problems, refers more complex issues to higher‑level staff.

Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.

Strong verbal, writing and presentation skills to communicate effectively with immediate team and peers.

Analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to work well in collaborative group environments.

Strong attention to detail and organization.

Intermediate knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.

Education – Minimum

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or vocational studies.
