Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced CMM Programmer / Operator / Inspector to support quality inspection and measurement activities in a job shop environment. This role is responsible for programming and operating CMM equipment, performing manual inspections, and ensuring parts meet customer and quality requirements.
Responsibilities
Program, operate, and inspect parts using Zeiss CMM equipment
Utilize Calypso software (or similar CMM software)
Perform manual inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other hand-measuring tools
Inspect a wide variety of parts in a job shop environment
Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and inspection requirements
Document inspection results and communicate findings with production and quality teams
Maintain inspection equipment and follow quality procedures
Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives
Qualifications
Experience programming and operating CMMs (Zeiss preferred)
Experience with Calypso software or comparable CMM software
Strong background in manual inspection techniques
Job shop inspection experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
High attention to detail and quality standards
