The person in this position is responsible for overseeing of the production line leaders and that the floor operates in a productive manner. The Floor Lead is also responsible for directing and training all new Line Leads in the production processes, safety and Good Manufacturing Processes (GMPs). THIS IS A SECOND SHIFT POSITION, HOURS ARE MONDAY-THURSDAY 3:30PM-2:00AM**Essential Functions:**1. Demonstrate commitment to safety and perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures2. Demonstrate commitment to quality and perform job duties in adherence to GMP guidelines3. Ability to start up and conduct line clearance for every production job4. Ability to multi-task in between lines and support line leads5. Demonstrate and lead cross functional training to ensure all line associates can perform their responsibilities and attain business needs6. Collaborate with supervisors on developing better practices and lean continuous improvement.7. Responsible for training production staff8. Serve as a backup to the Production Supervisor9. Work in conjunction with the Quality Department for positive production results10. Conduct inspection of the line every 2 hours or more frequently if the job is complex or critical in its design or use11. Keep abreast of the rates of the jobs running on the production line12. Responsible for job packets being filled out correctly, accurately, and on time13. Maintain a professional demeanor and performance in supervision of staff14. Perform all computer functions in Warehouse Management System (WMS)15. Process information and merchandise through computer system16. Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements17. Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors**Education/Certification:*** High school diploma or equivalent desired**Work Experience:*** Minimum 2 years of related experience or training in a warehouse production required**Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**1. Safety sensitive position – ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner2. Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business3. Ability to effectively work in teams4. Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people5. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles6. Ability to lead/supervise large groups of associates7. Understanding of quality standards, methods and reporting as required8. Demonstrate a “team player” demeanor9. Strong multi-tasking skills10. Ability to plan in advance for production in assigned areas11. Ability to interpret instructions (both verbal and written)12. Ability to produce at a high level through assigned staff13. Ability to work with plant management for required results14. Ability to perform all computer functions as they pertain to the jobThe hourly pay for this position is $21.50.
