It is the responsibility of the laminator operator to understand all production criteria for all products that are applicable to the laminator operator tasks.**Essential Functions: Changed from Key Duties and Responsibilities**1. Set up, operate, and monitor machine to produce corrugated products and record operational data2. Review work orders or production schedules to determine: Specifications such as material to be used.3. Selecting and install machine components4. Start machine to verify setups, and make any necessary adjustments5. Start machine and move controls to regulate tension on pressure rolls, to synchronize speed of machine component6. Examine completed work to detect defects and verify conformance to specifications, using measuring evices such as rulers, micrometers, and adjust machinery as necessary to correct production problems7. Remove defective or substandard materials from machines, and readjust machine components so that products meet standards8. Follow designated quality escalation process9. Utilize computer to input production data as required10. Maintain production records, such as quantities, downtime and production issues11. Move stock or scrap to and from machines manually, or by using carts, hand trucks, or lift trucks12. Clean and perform preventative maintenance on machines as required13. Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors**Performance Measures and Outcomes**1. Adherence to safety policies and procedures2. Quality of work3. Production goals**Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**1. Safety sensitive position – ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner2. Ability to work overtime and weekends as required based upon the needs of the business3. Ability to effectively work in teams4. Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people5. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles6.
