We encourage you to apply to become a part of our team!**Description of Work**The Division of Parks and Recreation is looking for a proficient Grants Specialist to join the State Trails Team. This position will be responsible for managing grants and funding relating to the Complete the Trails Program, which helps complete the state trails in North Carolina. The position involves checking projects for grant compliance through site visits, which may require some knowledge of trail planning and/or sustainable trail design; as well as knowledge in preparing grant contracts, amendments, financial forms, online applications, and reports to the Division and/or Department.
Key responsibilities:
• Work directly with the public and grantees to answer questions regarding grant programs as well as provide technical support to applicants.
• Collect and manage applicant information in the approved dataset to enable accurate grant tracking, accounting, reporting and for generation.
• Review and approve request for grant reimbursements while assuring that all contractual obligations are met and all state and federal rules and regulations are met.**Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences****Recruitment Range: $45,926 - $71,758****To receive credit for your work history and credentials, you must provide the information on the application form.
