Responsibilities
Lead the Propulsion and Reactor Engineering Planning yard (PREPY) Deputy Director team and report to the Director to lead E50.
Share travel commitments (supplier oversight) and lead customer meetings.
Support NAVSEA strategic initiatives, set department policies, and oversee quality improvement efforts.
Manage and audit common procedures and support NAVSEA and Naval Reactors programs.
Must Have Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering from an ABET‑accredited program and 8 years of progressive technical experience in research, engineering and design.
Master’s Degree and 6 years of relevant experience, or PhD and 4 years of relevant experience.
Broad operational and design engineering knowledge of A1B and A4W propulsion plants.
Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program experience is greatly desired.
Nice to Have
Experience with A4W and/or A1B propulsion plant engineering or design.
Experience managing a major update or change to a new construction CVN or an upgrade to a fleet CVN.
Experience working with NNL, BPMI, NAVSEA and Naval Reactors.
Experience dealing with lifecycle support of major systems or components.
