Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

Overview An iconic, high-volume upscale restaurant opening near Rockefeller Center is seeking an experienced

General Manager

to lead day-to-day operations, elevate guest experience, and drive financial performance. This is a growth‑oriented leadership role within a nationally expanding hospitality group known for culinary excellence, strong culture, and internal advancement.

Key Responsibilities

Provide overall leadership for all front‑of‑house and restaurant operations

Resolve guest and employee issues with professionalism and urgency

Hire, train, coach, and develop Assistant General Managers and Floor Managers

Lead and actively participate in weekly management and executive meetings

Ensure consistent food quality and exceptional guest satisfaction through active floor presence and menu audits

Drive hospitality standards and reinforce a culture of generosity

Review daily revenue, labor, comps, and cost of goods; take corrective action as needed

Collaborate on financial planning, budgets, and operational forecasts

Report operational performance, wins, challenges, and improvement opportunities to senior operations leadership

Oversee purchasing, inventory controls, vendor relationships, and cost management

Monitor guest feedback and online reviews; implement service recovery and improvement plans

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and legal standards

Partner with Human Resources to maintain labor compliance and company standards

Stay informed on competitive landscape and emerging industry trends

Take on additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum

5 years of management experience

in a high‑volume, upscale restaurant or hospitality environment

Proven leadership with strong people‑development skills

Guest‑focused, warm, and confident presence; able to engage VIPs and key stakeholders

Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L, labor, COGS, and budgets

Ability to think quickly, make sound decisions, and lead with minimal oversight

Excellent communication, organization, and follow‑through

Professional, polished appearance and demeanor

Comfortable adapting to new technologies, systems, and operational processes

Thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods

Ability to walk, bend, reach, stoop, and climb as needed

Ability to lift and move up to 20 lbs

Comfortable working in a noisy, high‑energy restaurant environment
