Job Description Oversee all human resource functions of a facility. This includes oversight of both manufacturing and salaried/office employees. Provide strategic direction and change‑management support to empower and solve business needs in the areas of talent, culture, and operational excellence. Single location with less than 250 employees. This is the first level of HR management in an operations facility.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities
Support WCOM initiatives and lead the T&E pillar
Promote and support Amcor health and wellness initiatives
Be accountable for accurate data entry, understand current Workday processes, and partner with business leaders to ensure data integrity
Handle all types of employee inquiries and issues
Ensure delivery of annual trainings such as union avoidance, anti‑harassment, core values, etc.
Handle escalated employee inquiries and issues
Provide guidance to leaders regarding employee matters, including performance coaching, performance improvement plans, individual development plans, human capital plans, succession planning, salary planning, etc.
Provide guidance on workforce planning which may include organisational redesign work, facilitation of a talent review/selection process, job description creation and analysis, promotions, etc.
Conduct employee investigations, discipline, termination, etc.
Partner and collaborate with business leaders and serve as a member of the leadership team
Be responsible for project management of various initiatives, and may serve as a team/project leader in company‑wide projects generated from business partners and the corporate HR function
Partner with the HR COE and shared services to ensure alignment with the needs of the business in the creation and delivery of HR programs
Act as the primary liaison between employees, union (if applicable), and management. Provide union avoidance training.
Protect employee data and handle all information with integrity and confidentiality
Build, inspire, and lead teams/individuals in alignment with the overall human capital strategy
Ensure we are hiring, developing, and retaining our best people
Support the HR service delivery model and encourage employees to leverage the model
Network with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise – best practice sharing
Drive consistency and sustainability with initiatives throughout the operation
Assist in the development of a world‑class organization and demonstrate leadership in building Amcor culture
Successfully achieve milestone targets for the HR roadmap
Institutionalise the performance management process and demonstrate differentiation in rewards
Foster change leadership

3–5 years of human resource experience; experience leading and developing professionals; PHR desired
Previous project‑management skills required
WCOM foundations training or similar business process improvement training
PHR certification preferred
The starting salary for this position is expected to be between $90,000 and $100,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may also be eligible for Amcor's Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus programme based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.
