We’re partnering with a
growing manufacturing company in Grand Rapids
to hire a
Controller
who will own day‑to‑day accounting operations and help drive financial accuracy across the business. This role is a great fit for someone who’s
ready to step into a Controller position as their next career move , coming from an Assistant Controller or Accounting Manager background.
This is a hands‑on, onsite role with visibility to leadership and real ownership of the numbers.
What You’ll Be Doing
Own month‑end and year‑end close processes
Oversee general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Lead
manufacturing cost accounting , including inventory, variances, and COGS
Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
Manage fixed assets, inventory accounting, and internal controls
Partner with operations and plant leadership to support financial decisions
Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit processes
Lead and develop accounting staff
Who This Role Is For
Someone currently in an
Assistant Controller or Accounting Manager role
ready for the next step
A hands‑on accounting leader who enjoys being close to the work
A professional with
manufacturing accounting experience
(required)
Someone comfortable working
100% onsite
in Grand Rapids
A self‑starter who values structure, accuracy, and ownership
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in
manufacturing accounting , including cost and inventory
Prior experience supporting or owning month‑end close
