Base pay range $125,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr
Additional compensation types Annual Bonus
*Salary up to $145K plus 10% bonus. Will pay relocation package!*
Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, is seeking an Assistant Controller for their Michigan plant. This person will not have direct reports at first but there is significant growth opportunity in this role, along with a fantastic company culture.
Responsibilities
Month-end and quarter-end closing activities
Generate financial reports for senior leadership
Implement accounting procedures and help improve operational efficiencies
Monitor and analyze balance sheets, accounts payable and accounts receivable
Perform journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and invoicing.
Assist the Controller with budgeting and forecasting
Help ensure completion of SOX requirements for internal controls
Inventory accounting including cycle counts and physical inventory
Other special projects as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant field
5+ years experience in accounting
Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred
CPA or MBA a plus
Strong technical, analytical, communication and presentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
