The pay range for this position is $23.97 to $28.33 hourly depending on education and experience. This position is located in Rutland, MA. The schedule is Sunday-Wednesday, 1pm-11pm. A $1,000 Sign-on Bonus is offered.
Devereux Massachusetts serves students with complex psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders in residential and group home settings. Our Medically Complex Program serves youth who require 24-hour nursing care and may have sensory impairments, intellectual or physical disabilities, self-care deficits, or conditions requiring medical equipment. We use an interdisciplinary team approach to meet each youth’s unique needs and provide enriching, fun, and diverse opportunities to grow and learn with the goal of helping each child reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
Be passionate about working with and helping youth with complex medical needs.
Collaborate with the Program Director and the Registered Nurse to ensure youth medical needs are adequately met.
Support the Program Director in creating a program vision and a positive working environment.
Assist with planning and implementing recreational, social, and educational programs.
Ensure all youth medical appointments are attended and medical follow-up is implemented as indicated by medical providers.
Supervise and train staff.
Qualifications
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must have a valid driver's license.
High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree in a human service field is preferred.
Previous experience working with individuals with psychological, emotional, intellectual, and/or medical conditions is required. One year of relevant supervisory experience is preferred.
Ability to complete a 2-week orientation training, Monday–Friday 8am–4pm, in Rutland.
