Assistant Program Manager – Medically Complex Residential Program
Devereux, a leading nonprofit in behavioral healthcare, invites applicants for the Assistant Program Manager position in our Medically Complex Residential Program located in Rutland, MA. This full‑time role will support youth with complex medical needs in a 24‑hour nursing environment.
Position Details
Hourly pay: $23.97 – $28.33 (dependent on education and experience)
Location: Rutland, MA
Schedule: Sunday – Wednesday, 1 pm – 11 pm
Sign‑on bonus: $1,000
About Devereux’s Medically Complex Program Our program serves youth who require 24‑hour nursing care due to advanced medical conditions, sensory impairments, intellectual disabilities, physical impairments, or self‑care deficits. With an interdisciplinary team, we provide nurturing, fun, and enriching opportunities so each child can reach their full potential.
Responsibilities
Passionate about working with and helping youth with complex medical needs.
Collaborate with the Program Director and Registered Nurse to ensure youth medical needs are met.
Assist in creating a shared program vision and positive working environment.
Plan and implement recreational, social, and educational programs.
Ensure attendance at all medical appointments and follow‑up care per provider recommendations.
Supervise and train staff.
Qualifications
At least 21 years old.
Valid driver’s license.
High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in human services or related field preferred.
Experience working with individuals with psychological, emotional, intellectual, or medical conditions required; supervisory experience preferred.
Ability to complete a two‑week orientation training schedule (Monday–Friday, 8 am – 4 pm) in Rutland.
