Aerospace manufacturer is seeking a Temporary Quality Inspector - Machining.
Job Duties:
Perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies
Parts will be inspected to engineering drawings, industry standards, and specifications.
Read and interpret models (Catia), Drawings, and Parts lists
Apply attention to detail to Drawings, Production Processes, Work Orders, etc.
Verifies completion of Quality documents and accurate representation of product flow throughout the process
Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometer, height gage, and dial indicators
Process NCR for parts returned by customers for non-conformances
Process NCR for orders noting any discrepancies identified
Requirements:
3+ years’ practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on complex machined parts, assemblies, and / or sub-assemblies
1+ years’ experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges
Able to read, analyze, and interpret blue prints, general procedures, OEM specifications and government regulations
Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance to the AS9102 standard
Detail oriented, team player, and very organized with the ability to multi-task
Proficient in MS Office applications
Excellent comprehension of machining process
High School diploma or equivalent
Flexible schedule to work overtime and shift work as needed
3+ years’ experience performing inspections in aerospace or military / defense manufacturing, preferred
