About the Role

Design, plan, and oversee the construction and maintenance of railway tracks

Conduct regular inspections to assess track conditions and identify areas requiring repair or upgrade

Develop and implement track maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and safety

Analyse track geometry data and recommend improvements to enhance track stability and ride quality

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to coordinate track work with other railway systems

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards

Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to management

Manage track‑related projects, including budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline adherence

Stay abreast of the latest developments in track engineering technology and best practices

What do we need from you

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field

Minimum of 10 years' experience in railway track engineering or a similar role

Comprehensive knowledge of railway engineering principles, track design, and maintenance practices

Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software for track design and layout

Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for mapping and spatial analysis

Strong understanding of safety regulations and standards in the railway industry

Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a keen eye for detail

Proficiency in project management tools and techniques

Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical information clearly

Basic understanding of railway signalling systems and their interaction with track infrastructure

Professional engineering certification is preferred

Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to various project sites as required
