Job Title:
Customer Support Representative II
Location:
6400 NW 86th Street, Johnston, IA 50131, USA
Duration:
9 months contract on W2 (possible extension)
Full Onsite
These positions will be on the Customer Support Team in a Technical Support Center.
Base pay range:
$17.00/hr - $18.00/hr
Currently a contingent position; no expectation to transition into full‑time employment.
Managers will offer a retention bonus of $1,000 at 3 months and another $1,000 upon successful completion of the assignment.
Required Skills
Skills in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
6+ months experience with customer service/support.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
High comfort level and experience with consumer software applications.
Strong computer, research, and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work support hours and occasional holidays.
Desired Skills
Knowledge of agricultural customers.
Experience with agricultural operations, including Precision Farming.
Prior work experience in Agricultural or Technology dealer channels.
Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Business, Engineering, IT, or a similar discipline.
Technical certification indicating understanding of IT database management (preferred for high school graduates).
Schedule
Support hours: 7am – 6pm CST, Monday – Friday and 8am – 12pm CST, Saturday.
Shift may include occasional holidays and overtime.
Candidate must be available to work any 8‑hour shift within the 7am‑6pm support window.
Shifts subject to change based on volumes.
Special Considerations
Training and mentoring on the 8‑4:30am shift, lasting ~6 weeks.
3‑4 months to reach full productivity.
Limited travel to nearby Des Moines Works for a factory tour and to Jensen Farms twice a year.
