Salary: $88,000/annually
Location: Forth Worth, Texas

About the Program and the Assistant Regional Director position: Our Home Study and Post Release Services (HS/PRS) program is dedicated to making a significant impact on the lives of unaccompanied children aged 0 - 17 1/2. Referred through shelters or trust foster care providers, these children rely on our continuous support throughout their journey from the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) to their parents or sponsors. We can guide and empower these children and sponsors through an unfamiliar system, which makes a great difference.
Under the direction of the Regional Director, the Assistant Regional will oversee a team of Case Managers who assist youth and their families to receive the support they need to experience a safe transition out of ORR care and into their communities. The role of the Assistant Regional Director is to lead, train, and provide guidance to their team.
How you get to use your skills as Assistant Regional Director…
Coordinate a team that will provide evidence‑based interventions and solution‑focused work when working with families in the community
Onboard, train, coach, mentor, and supervise the Case Managers within the region
Ensure staff comply with agency and regulatory policies and procedures
Assist staff in managing crises that may arise on their caseloads
Perform a variety of administrative or executive support tasks, such as trend/quarterly reports that are confidential
Conduct weekly audits to ensure all assessments, reports, and team case notes are current in the hardcopy and electronic file
Ensure Case Managers meet all deadlines required by ORR, state licensing, and federal partners
Perform other duties as assigned/requested by the Regional Director, the Vice President of HS/PRS, Assistant Vice President, Senior and Executive leadership, or the Deputy for Federal Programs
Required Experience of an Assistant Regional Director:
Master's degree in related field required
Three years of relevant, progressive experience required
Experience conducting home studies required
Experience working with immigrant populations required
Knowledge of local community social services required
Strong administrative experience
Knowledge of family preservation, kinship care, and/or general child welfare
Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
Strong skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlooks, and Teams applications
Ability to work well with people from many culture, non‑English speakers, and LGBTQ children
All agency documents and record are in English, so English writing proficiency is required
Valid driver's license in a state location within the assigned region and personal, reliable vehicle to conduct tasks/assignments - required
Ability to travel domestically for work‑related matters
Physical Requirements of an Assistant Regional Director:
Computer work requires sitting at a desk for long periods of time
Time on your feet for up to several hours a day
Lifting up to 50 pounds
Time driving and/or taking public transportation to conduct client and family services
Schedule: Exempt
Regular hours entail Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, business hours. Must be flexible to meet program needs
Must be available to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends - required
24/7 on call support required
Travel outside of work hours to various hubs
