Position Overview
The Osseo Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a dependable, organized, and community‑minded individual to serve as a Part‑Time Administrative Assistant. This role supports the daily operations of the Chamber and plays an important part in maintaining strong relationships with local businesses and community partners.
Schedule & Compensation Pay: $20 per hour
Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week
Location: Remote (work from home), attend monthly Chamber meetings, and events.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update Chamber membership and business records
Track membership renewals and contact members regarding renewals
Reach out to local businesses to: Answer questions about the Chamber, learn how the Chamber can support them, encourage non‑member businesses to join
Attend monthly Chamber meetings and assist with Chamber events as needed
Monitor and manage the Chamber email inbox
Update and maintain the Chamber’s online event calendar
Assist with the coordination of Chamber events, meetings, and initiatives
Communicate and collaborate with other local organizations and community partners
Qualifications
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable working independently and remotely
Basic proficiency with computer spreadsheets, email, and online tools
Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow up consistently
Friendly, professional, and confident in communicating with local business owners/organizations
Interest in community involvement and local economic development preferred
