Park Maintenance Worker (Semi Skilled Laborer) (Seasonal) – Maurice K Goddard State Park
If you enjoy outdoor work and thrive in a hands‑on role, the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) at Maurice K Goddard State Park invites you to join as a Park Maintenance Worker. You will help keep our grounds, trails, and facilities in excellent condition, contributing to the preservation of our natural landscapes and providing a rewarding public service experience.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Perform indoor and outdoor maintenance and construction tasks, including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, painting, and general building repairs.
Operate park vehicles and equipment safely, and assist in the upkeep of these assets.
Maintain grounds by mowing, weeding, planting, waste removal, debris management, and signage upkeep.
Greet visitors and provide general information in a friendly manner.
WORK SCHEDULE AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Seasonal full‑time position (March – October 2026). Employee will be placed on unpaid leave until approximately March 2027.
Schedule: 5 days/37.5 hours per week with a 30‑minute lunch break; weekends and holidays may be required.
No telework option.
Salary is non‑negotiable and does not include health‑care benefits.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum one year of laboring experience using tools and equipment for maintenance or construction, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Valid PA non‑commercial Class C driver’s license (or equivalent).
Resident of Pennsylvania.
Ability to perform essential job functions.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
Conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports.
