Park Maintenance Worker (Semi Skilled Laborer) (Seasonal) - Region 2 Park Office

Overview Experience the beauty of nature while working in a stunning office surrounded by our magnificent state parks. The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is seeking a Park Maintenance Worker to join our team immediately. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that Region 2 State Parks are well‑maintained and ready to welcome visitors.
Responsibilities
Engage in semi‑skilled manual labor focused on the construction and upkeep of state parks within State Parks Region 2.
Maintain park grounds by mowing or trimming grass with different types of mowers, clearing debris, collecting litter, and managing materials with dump trucks or pickups.
Plant and care for trees and shrubs, and operate various equipment such as dump trucks and small tractors.
Perform custodial duties including cleaning restrooms and park buildings, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring supplies are stocked.
Assist with preparing sites for new turf and operating equipment to support park operations.
Qualifications
One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Possession of a valid PA non‑commercial Class C driver’s license or equivalent.
Meet the PA residency requirement.
Ability to perform essential job functions.
Work Schedule
Full‑time seasonal employment.
Work shifts/days vary; will work 5 days/37.5 hours per week including weekends and holidays if needed.
