This individual must be willing to do whatever is needed from security to mowing grass, moving furniture, and cleaning up spills. Greenspring Montessori School has been offering a Montessori education to students since 1962. Nestled on a 7-acre property that was originally a dairy farm, students ages 18 months through grade 8 thrive in our newly renovated buildings, state-of-the-art Montessori classrooms, and rich outdoor learning environments. Essential Functions

Maintain and inspect of grounds, buildings, and playgrounds Make necessary repairs and maintenance checks to all facility equipment ensuring all are in good working order Check on classrooms daily for cleanliness and check for potential overnight concerns Diligently check campus for safety Friendly demeanor with staff and families Clean up spills and messes Direct traffic Mow, trim, mulch, weed, and maintain beautiful grounds Keep sidewalks clear of all debris (snow, leaves, etc.) Oversee set-up for all school functions Make runs for supplies and materials for repairs Maintain an inventory of hand tools Competencies

Understanding of mechanics Ability to be very physical for eight hours a day Lift and carry heavy objects High energy Quick learner Flexible Comfortable being outside in all weather conditions Team player with positive attitude Willingness to both receive and offer coaching; accepts coaching graciously and with an open mind and implements coaching received in a timely fashion and in the manner in which it was intended Responsible, dependable, and reliable Takes initiative Excellent follow-through Position Details

This is a year-round, full-time position Monday through Friday from 10:00am-6:00pm. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Education and Experience

Experience working in maintenance (2 years preferred) Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check Authorization to work in the United States is a pre-condition of employment at Greenspring Montessori School.
