Job Summary Residential maintenance experience repairing and servicing HVAC, basic electrical, basic plumbing, basic carpentry, and flooring. Experience repairing toilets, sinks and faucets, drywall repair and painting. Mechanical knowledge of electric motors, hydronic pumps and door‑locking hardware is preferred but not required.

Job Specifications and Core Competencies

Education: High school education or equivalent (GED) required. Must be able to read and write English and perform mathematical calculations. Preference for specialized training of one to four years, apprenticeship of trade school courses with certificates in related areas.

Licensure: Prefer certificate in blueprint reading, schematic reading, basic electricity, troubleshooting and testing of control circuits, electrical measuring meters, AC power distribution systems, construction methods, welding, hydraulics, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, machine and equipment repair. Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Experience: Five years’ journeyman experience preferred; cumulative experience in mechanical, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, equipment repair and welding maintenance fields is preferred. Up to one‑month on‑the‑job training to learn locations of equipment, supplies, and organizational layout.

Other Job Requirements

Colleagues must demonstrate a good driving record, verifiable with the DMV in their state of residence, with no more than three (3) points accumulated within the last 12 months.
