Job Overview
Provides assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patients’ respiratory status, and plan of care. Functions independently in all areas of the organization. Care is provided in a compassionate, professional, ethical, and knowledgeable fashion that exemplifies the mission, vision and values of Rush Copley, and is in accordance with policies and procedures. The Respiratory Therapist is expected to uphold the most ethical and safe processes while keeping the care of the patient as a top priority. The position works closely with the entire multidisciplinary team and must have a complete understanding of own limitations and, in turn, seek advice, judgment and support of others, when necessary.
Pay Range $32.58/hr - $48.86/hr

Position Requirements License:
Current Illinois State License as Respiratory Care Practitioner.
Education:
Completion of CoARC approved program in Respiratory Care required.
Credentials:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) required to work in Level III NICU after March 7, 2026.
Certifications:
CPR
ACLS required within 6 months of employment.
PALS required within 12 months of employment.
NRP required for all staff working in NICU III within 3 months of employment.

7:00 pm – 7:30 am
