Job Purpose And Summary Within our Retail locations, Pharmacy Technicians (Technicians) play a critical role in supporting our pharmacy teams to consistently deliver on our brand promise. As a Technician, you will support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within your store. You will be the first point of contact to assist patients and customers, ensuring prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, while providing caring service that exceeds expectations.
Responsibilities
Follow all company SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists manage and improve patient health.
Adhere to pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment across all workstations (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, drop‑off).
Provide positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care, offering immunizations and other services, and escalating patient problems when necessary.
Perform basic inventory activities such as putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, and waiting bin inventories as directed.
Contribute to a high‑performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and actively seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge.
Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including voluntary travel to other stores in the market.
Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles, protecting patient safety, confidentiality, and controlled substance records.
Deliver additional patient health care services such as immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and voluntarily staffing offsite clinics where allowed by law and supported by training and certification.
Immunization Support (if permissible)
Complete additional licensure and training to obtain Technician Immunizer status.
Educate patients about vaccines and refer vaccine questions to the Pharmacist‑on‑duty.
Monitor, respond to, and report adverse reactions as required by public health regulations.
Review, collect, and track patient information for each applicable patient.
Monitor and manage vaccine supplies.
Required Qualifications
Meet state board of pharmacy requirements for practice of pharmacy (age, education, licensure/certification).

Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
Attention and focus to concentrate on tasks, pivot quickly, and confirm prescription accuracy.

Communication Skills: verbal and written communication with patients and colleagues; active listening.
Mathematical Reasoning: use math to solve dispensing problems.
Problem Resolution: identify challenging interactions and choose best actions.
Physical Demands: mobile, upright for extended periods, lift, scan, bag, reach, and lift up to 20 lbs; other tasks as directed.
Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager.
Preferred Qualifications
1–3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
Ability to work in the home store and across the market in other locations.
Anticipated Weekly Hours 40
Time Type Full time
Pay Range $18.90 - $28.90 per hour
