We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-oriented Commis Chef / Cook 2 to assist in the preparation of high-quality dishes and support kitchen operations at the MAC Clayton Clubhouse.
Cook II Responsibilities:
Supports assigned station with prep, portioning, and basic cooking tasks.
Follows recipes and station guidelines provided by the Chef de Partie.
Maintains cleanliness of work areas, equipment, cutting boards, and walk-ins.
Ensures proper labeling, FIFO rotation, and product freshness.
Assists in receiving deliveries, checking quality, and storing product correctly.
Keeps station stocked and organized throughout service.
Executes simple menu items and garnishes as assigned.
Practices safe knife handling and correct use of equipment.
Helps set up and break down the station before and after service.
Supports banquet prep and production as needed.
Communicates shortages, prep levels, and station needs to supervisors.
Works with urgency, discipline, and a willingness to learn.
Cook II Qualifications:
0–2 years of professional kitchen experience (or culinary school preferred).
Basic knife skills and an understanding of fundamental cooking techniques.

Ability to take direction and work with accuracy.
Food safety certification preferred.
