Job Summary
Baptist Health is currently looking to add an Interventional Radiologic (IR) Technologist to our Special Procedures Department at the Baptist Beaches location. This is a PRN position with various shifts available.
At Baptist, our IR Technologists are highly trained radiologic technologists who work closely with interventional radiologists. The role of our IR techs is critical in performing minimally invasive, image‑guided procedures by ensuring the imaging equipment, patient positioning, sterile field, and technical support are all properly managed.
Responsibilities
Operate imaging equipment and perform high‑quality radiographic images (including fluoroscopy)
Function as a member of a team performing interventional procedures
Maintain sterile techniques and assist with passing wires, catheters, and other tools
Prepare contrast media and injectors
Monitor vital signs and document procedural notes and materials used
Promote goodwill among co‑workers and other departments, and have a positive, comforting demeanor with all patients
Be compliant with mandatory education and health requirements
Identify, prepare, administer, and document medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner in accordance with state and federal regulations or lawful institutional policy
Education
Vocational School
Associate's Degree (preferred)
Experience
Less than 1 year Radiologic Technologist experience
Experience performing special interventional procedures
Experience working in a hospital setting
Customer service experience
Experience with vascular imaging procedures
License & Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
Registered Technologist in Cardiac‑Interventional Radiography ARRT (CI) Required or
Registered Radiologic Technologist ARRT Required
Registered Technologist in Cardiovascular ARRT (CV) Required or
Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Required
Licensed Radiologic Technologist Required
