What You’ll Do
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess residents' speech, language, cognitive communication, and swallowing abilities.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each resident's needs and goals.
Administer therapeutic interventions, such as speech exercises, language stimulation activities, and swallowing techniques.
Provide patient education and guidance to residents and their families on communication strategies and techniques.
Monitor residents' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed based on ongoing assessments.
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of resident care in compliance with regulations.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, and occupational therapists, to ensure coordinated care.
Participate in care planning meetings and provide recommendations for resident care and discharge planning.
Maintain an average “Patient Care Time” (productivity) of > 82.5%.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Experience in geriatric speech therapy or a senior living setting (preferred).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking abilities.
Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
