0.60 FTE Special Education Teacher – District Wide Pool

Starting the 2024-25 School Year – August 19, 2024
Job Description This position works with students with individual needs that meet criteria for special education. This includes small group instruction, work completion assistance, and teaming with mainstream teachers. The special education teacher will collaborate with other service providers during the day to meet student needs.
License & Experience
Licensed Special Education Teacher in the State of Minnesota
Knowledge and experience working with students with special education needs
Essential Skills
Knowledge and experience completing due process and following timeline requirements of special education
Experience completing Part B evaluations
Must be able to assure and implement state and federal laws, statutes, rules and regulations pertaining to special education
Team oriented approach when working with students, colleagues, families, and administrators
Effective communication and teaming skills, both verbally and in writing, with students, parents, teachers, administrators, community and staff
Establishes a culture for learning by supporting the mission, beliefs and the strategic plan of the district
Inspires and engages all students in relevant learning
Maintain confidentiality of information about students, staff and families
Experience working with diverse students and families – experience/training with CLR (Culturally Linguistically Responsive) methods preferred
