TheMiami Airport Convention Center (MACC) and DoubleTree by Hilton Miami AirportHotelare seekinganexperiencedSalesManager to join our team. This position is 100% on-site, no remote work.

This position will be an exempt position and will report to theDirector of Sales.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Miami AirportHotel features 334 guestrooms, onsite dining, fitness room, outdoor pool, business center, complimentary High-Speed Internet Access,24,000 square feetof retail space, 20,000 Square feet of Hotel Meeting and Function Space.

Miami Airport Convention Center(MACC) event space includes a 49,000-sf exhibit hall, a 29,000-sf exhibit hall, a 7,000-sf ballroom, a 6,100-sf ballroom and 50 breakouts ranging in size from300 sf- 2,000- sf.

The SalesManageris responsible forselling and closing group business including guest rooms,food & beverage services, and room rental.The role is multi-faceted as follows:

Sellingthe Miami Airport Convention Centerevent space

Selling group rooms at the DoubleTree by Hilton in conjunction with convention space target of 10-100 rooms peak(or as delegated by the DOSM)

Selling group banquet, audiovisualand room rental

This person is also responsible for prospecting and closing on assigned accounts/territory to positivelyimpacthotel revenues.

The following are requirements for consideration of this role:

Must have a minimum of (1) or more years selling guest rooms, banquets, food & beverageand meeting space in a Full-Service Hotel with a minimum of10,000 sq ftof meeting and event space.

Must have a valid driver’s license in the applicable state.

Must be skilled in Windows, Company approved spreadsheets and word processing.

Job Responsibilities

Attend daily DT by Hilton Business Review meetings with the DOS

Develop a complete knowledge of company sales policies and SOP’s and ensure knowledge of and adherence to those policies by the sales team.

Meet or exceed set goals.

Operate the Sales Department withinan establishedsales expense budget.

Participate in required M.O.D. and Saturday office coverage as scheduled.

Initiate and follow up on leads.

Maintain and participate in an active sales solicitation program.

Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within your market.

Regularly contact existing accounts based on the tracing frequencies of the Account Coverage Program.

Meet or exceed sales solicitation call goals as assigned by the Director of Sales.

Invite clients to the hotel for entertainment, lunches,toursand site inspections.

Assistin implementing special promotions relating to direct sales segments,i.e.Sales parties, salesblitzes, etc.

Assist in the preparation of required reports in a timely manner.

Be familiar with all Embassy Suites by Hilton sales policies and selling techniques with an emphasis on maximizing occupancy and Average Daily Rate (ADR).

Conduct a professional, thorough site inspection of the hotel with clients,exhibitingkey features and benefits of the property.

Use your property’s computerized sales management system to manage the hotel’s business, including (but not limited to) generating reports, entering business, blockingspaceand building accounts.

Meet and greet onsite contacts.

Abide by Prime Selling Time (PST).

Develop networking opportunities through active participation in community and professional associations,activitiesand events.

Review meeting planner evaluations with the DOS to ensure that issues receive follow-up.

Entertain clients.

Handle inquiries as part ofthe InquiryDay Program.

Manage goal achievement on a weekly basis

Qualifications / Skills

At least 4 years of progressive hotel sales experience or a4 yearcollege degree and at least 2yearof related experience or a 2year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience.

Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with alllevelof employees and guests in an attentive, friendly,courteousandservice orientedmanner.

Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.

Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.

Approach allencounterswith guests and employees in an attentive, friendly,courteousand service-oriented manner.

Attend all hotel required meetings andtrainings.

Participate in M.O.D. coverage asrequired.

Maintain regular attendance in compliance with DoubleTree by Hilton standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.

Maintainhigh standardsof personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing name tags.

Comply withDoubleTree by Hilton standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.

Maximize efforts towards productivity,identifyproblemareas,andassistin implementing solutions.

Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing,identifying,and solvingproblemsas necessary.

Must be able to understand and evaluate complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meetappropriate objectives.

Must be able to maintainconfidentiality of information.

Perform other duties as requested by management.

Flexibility and long hoursare sometimesrequired.

Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally,lifting,carrying,pushing,pullor otherwisemovingobjects.
