Hospitality Responsibilities
Provides support to hospitality staff accountant and operations team across all hospitality entities. Essential Duties and responsibilities
The following are examples only and are not intended to be all inclusive or restrictive; other duties may be assigned as necessary. Assists with daily revenue reconciliations, ledgers, payables, receivables, and other accounting duties. Assists with the preparation of purchase requests/orders, receiving, accounts payable, maintains and updates vendor records, and submits invoices for payment and approval. Reviews, reconciles, logs and submits daily deposits Assists with guest inquiries, and provides the highest possible standards of guest service when responding to guest and employee concerns and questions. Maintains confidentiality over records and information. Performs all functions in accordance with applicable Tribal, Federal and other laws and gaming regulations and Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned supervisor. Knowledge, skills and abilities
Ability to maintain a professional demeanor within a tribal business setting in the Tribal office. Ability to disperse time equally and productively. Ability to exercise independent and sound judgment. Ability to follow direction and implement written and comprehensible material. Ability to manage and maintain security of confidential data and information. Ability to perform simple arithmetic for time-keeping and accounting calculations. Ability to read, write, speak and understand English, and communicate effectively with others. Ability to understand and follow written and verbal direction. Attention to detail and accuracy. Be available to carry out the duties of recording time and be responsible for the time to be recorded correctly by individual members. Cultural awareness of and sensitivity to Kickapoo traditions, religious beliefs and way of life. Technology skills appropriate to position (i.e., word processing, data processing, spreadsheets, accounting software, PMS etc.). Supervision exercised
This position does not carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Education/experience requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED. Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) to Three (3) years of clerical and administrative accounting/finance experience is preferred.
