Maintenance Supervisor – Ft Worth, TX The opportunity: As a Maintenance Supervisor you will oversee maintenance operations using precision and preventative maintenance to maximize plant and production equipment uptime. In this role, you will be a servant leader impacting the development of craftsmen by providing coaching to ensure adherence to preferred maintenance practices to maximize efficiency and safety

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:

Assist and provide direction to craftsmen with equipment troubleshooting to mitigate downtime

Monitor and approve inventory orders to control storeroom spend according to planned budget

Ensure compliance and proper use of parts and equipment according to preferred maintenance practices

Oversee craftsmen’s compliance with corporate, division, plant safety and environmental rules and procedures

Lead development and implementation of continuous process improvement of reliability plans in the plant

Demonstrate ownership of business and management goals by effectively leading craftsmen to align on objectives

Lead safety efforts by identifying high-risk situations, conducting safety meetings, and coordinating maintenance related safety activities

Provide leadership and coaching in safety, training, and work allocation to uphold the standards of maximum safety for all maintenance employees

Collaborate with operations and mechanical leaders to plan, schedule and execute daily and break-in work and to increase measured reliability metrics

What you need to succeed:

2-year technical degree in a Maintenance related discipline or related work experience

3 - 5 years of experience in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field

Working knowledge of maintenance techniques and equipment (i.e. pumps, valves, motors, gear boxes)

Safety mindset with thorough understanding of safety policies and procedures

Initiative to problem solve and take independent action

Great communication with the ability to adjust communication style and interact across all levels of the organization

Able to exhibit a ‘can-do’ approach and inspire others to excel

Must be organized with great time management to manage multiple priorities
