We are excited to announce an immediate opportunity for an experienced full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our well-established, 16-bed Level-III NICU practice at a leading health facility in Gastonia, NC, a charming suburb of Charlotte. Our NICU has received recognition for its luxury design, making it a premier destination for high-quality neonatal care. With a team of dedicated neonatologists and nurse practitioners, you will help provide exceptional care to our smallest patients in a state-of-the-art environment.
Job Responsibilities:- Provide care in a 16-suite, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit while also covering the newborn nursery.
- Collaborate with a team of 2 neonatologists and 5-6 NNPs to deliver comprehensive neonatal care.
- Manage an average daily census of approximately 10 patients within a facility that supports around 320 NICU admissions and 1900 births annually.
- Ensure 20 hours per day of shift coverage in partnership with neonatologists for in-house daytime coverage and backup call from home at night.
- Participate in the expansion efforts as the health system opens a second hospital with labor and delivery services.
- Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing.
- Board Certified NNP; FNP, PNP, or other NP certifications are not accepted.
- At least 2+ years of employment experience as NNP (excluding RN experience).
- Active NC nursing license or willingness to obtain.
- Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active).
- DEA certification must be obtained prior to start.
- Active NC nursing license (or willingness to obtain).
- Board Certified NNP (No FNP or PNP certifications accepted).
- DEA certification (must be obtained prior to start).
- Master's Degree and/or Doctorate in Nursing.
