Senior Healthcare Architect/Engineer Future Opportunity

CSEngineering is looking to add a Senior Healthcare Architect to our growing team! This position will support design and construction activities at an active VA medical facility. The SA/E will provide technical leadership, ensure compliance with VA standards, and oversee multidisciplinary teams to support successful project delivery, requiring construction management support at its major medical institution.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide senior‑level architectural and/or engineering oversight for design and construction projects within an active medical facility environment

Ensure full compliance with VA Design Manuals, Technical Information Library (TIL), and VA specifications

Review and interpret construction contract documents, including front‑end documents, technical specifications, and drawings

Coordinate with federal, state, and local authorities to ensure regulatory and jurisdictional compliance

Support budgeting, scheduling, and project planning activities to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery

Provide technical guidance related to engineering services, building codes, and construction best practices

Supervise, manage, and mentor personnel with diverse technical skill sets

Support coordination among stakeholders, contractors, and government representatives to ensure project success

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Licensed Professional Architect or Professional Engineer (PE)

Bachelor of Architecture from an accredited institution or Bachelor of Engineering from an ABET‑accredited institution.

Minimum 10 years of combined design and construction experience within active medical facilities

Demonstrated experience working on VA Medical Center projects.

Strong working knowledge of VA Design Manuals, Specifications, and TIL.

Proven ability to quickly understand and apply state and federal jurisdictional requirements

In‑depth understanding of construction contract documents, drawings, and specifications

Strong knowledge of engineering services, building codes, budgeting, and scheduling

Proven leadership and supervisory experience managing multidisciplinary teams

Must be a United States Citizen
