Position Overview Heritage University invites applications for the Vice President of Academic Affairs, the University’s chief academic officer. Reporting directly to the President, the VPAA provides strategic leadership for all academic programs and faculty and plays a central role in advancing the University’s mission of access, inclusion, and student success.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the University’s chief academic officer, providing leadership for all academic programs and faculty.
Collaborate closely with academic department chairs and faculty through shared governance.
Advance student success initiatives with a strong focus on access, equity, retention, and completion.
Lead curriculum development, academic assessment, and continuous improvement efforts.
Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
Align academic strategy with enrollment goals and long-term institutional sustainability.
Support faculty development, instructional excellence, and academic innovation.
Qualifications
Earned terminal degree from an accredited institution.
Senior academic leadership experience in higher education (e.g., VPAA, associate provost, or equivalent).
Demonstrated commitment to mission-driven, student-centered education.
Experience working effectively with faculty governance and academic leadership structures.
Collaborative leadership style with strong communication and strategic skills.
