About the Role

The Company is in search of a Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs to serve as a key leader in the integration and inspiration of academic excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and administrating district-wide academic operations, providing leadership for academic affairs, and ensuring the continuous improvement of academic and student programs. This role requires a visionary with the ability to work collaboratively with all college constituents, including administration, faculty, and staff, to champion the institution's core values and promote a respectful, rigorous, and learning-centered environment. The Provost will also oversee strategic planning, and evaluation of the institution's effectiveness, and serve as the chief academic policy, program, and accreditation officer.

Candidates for this position should have a strong background in educational administration, with a focus on curriculum development, faculty governance, and student success initiatives. Essential skills include strong communication, the ability to manage large-scale change, and a commitment to the mission and goals of a comprehensive community college. The ideal candidate will have a terminal degree in a relevant field, a minimum of ten years of management experience, and a proven track record in strategic planning, budget management, and fostering a collegiate environment. Experience in online learning, instructional technology, and a deep understanding of accreditation standards are also essential. The role demands a leader who can work with diverse constituencies, advocate for the effective use of technology in education, and forge strategic partnerships to align academic offerings with the needs of the evolving job market.
