Job Description We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to support our overnight production team at our manufacturing plant. This role requires a safety mindset, quality focus, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

Collect shots and samples from the production floor.

Make decisions on print quality issues and work closely with Shift Supervisor and Technical leads to resolve.

Perform variable inspections that provide metrology data such as color, clarity, or opacity.

Perform attribute inspections comparing them to established standards and note the presence or absence of a physical, visual, or functional defect.

Create a visual reference guide per customer requirements.

Carry out various inspections and testing duties.

Maintain quality records and standard books in an orderly manner.

Place materials on hold or determine scrap, and may stop a process partially or in whole based on company and customer requirements.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing Quality Assurance.

Good attendance record.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Reading comprehension of safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals.

Writing routine reports or correspondence.

Effective presentation skills in one-to-one or small group situations.

Computer skills: Microsoft Office, ERP, and inspection programs.

1+ year of experience in print production or quality.

Experience in injecting plastic molding is a plus.

Education and Experience Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and decimals.

Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables.

Physical Demands Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms, speak and listen. Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, taste or smell. Must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.

Work Environment Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, electrical shock, wet or humid conditions, high precarious places, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions.

Shifts Available

12 hour Night Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM (2, 2, 3, 2 schedule).

Shift differential for night shift.

Compensation

Starting pay: $21.00/hr + $2.00/hr night shift differential.

Bi-annual bonus compensation.
