Laboratory Blood Bank Supervisor

Laboratory Blood Bank Supervisor, Fulltime, St Mary’s Hospital, in Athens, GA.
Position Purpose Responsible for the daily operation of the Blood Bank Department.
What You Will Do
This includes staffing, training, scheduling, supply management and the supervision of testing performed.
Responsible for maintaining policy and procedures in accordance with CAP guidelines, and monitoring of quality control practices in the Core Lab.
Must also recognize results or problems that require referral to the Pathologist or Laboratory Director.
What You Will Need
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Medical Technologist, ASCP, AMT or NCA.
Education: B.S. in Medical Technology or Applied Sciences, 5 years’ experience and an alternate method of obtaining MT may be substituted for degree.
Experience: 5 or more years’ experience is preferred.
