KY Radiation Operator’s License at time of hire; BLS via AHA within 90 days; Eligible for ARRT at time of hire
Job Summary The Radiology Technologist will provide diagnostic imaging for patients to assist the patient’s physician in expediting needed care. Duties include performing or assisting in procedures per department protocols; maintaining a clean and safe work environment; identifying images and patients correctly for interpretation; and ordering exams that match the procedures being performed. Customer service is essential and the role requires addressing patient needs with age-specific criteria from neonates to geriatrics. Call is required and the incumbent must meet call-back standards for General Radiology. The position may participate in QA reviews to maintain professional standards for themselves and student technologists who are assisted.
Responsibilities
Provide diagnostic imaging and assist in procedures per department protocols.
Maintain clean, safe work environment and proper image/patient identification.
Order exams that match the procedures being performed.
Address patient needs with age-specific criteria (neonates to geriatrics).
Participate in QA reviews and support student technologists.
Respond to on-call requirements per department policy.
Qualifications
KY Radiation Operator’s License at time of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
Eligible for ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) at time of hire
Strong customer service skills; ability to communicate in stressful situations
Experience with CPR, PACS, RIS; KY state radiation certification desired
Benefits & Additional Information
Sign-on bonus: $15,000 for new graduates (less than 1 year of experience) or $30,000 for candidates with 1+ years of experience, contingent upon a 24-month employment commitment. Details discussed during hiring.
The minimum hourly rate is $26.47/hour; pay based on experience.
