Vaco is hiring for a Controller to work full time at a local manufacturing company. Job Summary
The Financial Controller will oversee all accounting, financial reporting, and internal control functions for a growing manufacturing company. This role will manage daily accounting operations, ensure compliance with GAAP, and provide financial insights to support business decision‑making and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations including general ledger, A/P, A/R, payroll, and inventory accounting. Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes; prepare and review financial statements. Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow to support business growth. Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax filings, and local/state/federal regulations. Implement and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures. Partner with operations and leadership to analyze costs, margins, and production variances. Support external audits and manage banking and insurance relationships. Supervise and mentor accounting staff. Drive process improvements, ERP/accounting system utilization, and reporting automation. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA preferred but not required). 10 years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing. Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory management. Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems. Advanced Excel skills; ability to create reports and financial models. Hands‑on, detail‑oriented, with strong problem‑solving and leadership skills. Compensation and Benefits
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including skill sets, experience, licensure and certifications, office location and other considerations. The individual may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan. Seniority level
