About the Role The Logistics Coordinator in our Distribution Center plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods within the manufacturing supply chain. This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of logistics operations, including freight forwarding, dispatching, warehousing, and international shipping. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to optimize shipping schedules, reduce costs, and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. By managing inventory flow and overseeing shipping and receiving processes, the Logistics Coordinator helps maintain production timelines and customer satisfaction. Ultimately, this role ensures that materials and finished products are delivered accurately and on time, supporting the overall operational success of the manufacturing business.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.

Minimum of 2 years experience in logistics coordination, freight forwarding, or warehouse management.

Proficiency with logistics software and inventory management systems.

Strong understanding of shipping regulations, customs procedures, and international logistics.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP).

Experience working within the manufacturing industry.

Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.

Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.

Ability to speak multiple languages relevant to international shipping operations.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage freight forwarding activities to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.

Oversee dispatching operations, scheduling shipments, and communicating with carriers to track deliveries.

Manage warehouse operations including inventory control, storage, and organization to optimize space and efficiency.

Handle international logistics processes, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and documentation requirements.

Collaborate with production, procurement, and sales teams to align logistics activities with business needs and deadlines.

Monitor shipping and receiving activities to verify accuracy and resolve any discrepancies or delays.

Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and transportation costs for reporting and analysis.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the logistics and supply chain functions.
