Overview
Location : Seven Lakes Pharmacy, Shoreview MN Hours : 80 hours bi-weekly Schedule : day The Compliance and Licensing Specialist is responsible for preparing and submitting new and renewal license applications for both the ambulatory and acute care pharmacy locations, the ClearScript Pharmacy Benefit Management company and IntegraDose Compounding Services. This position will work directly with both the ClearScript and FPS Compliance and Licensing Managers. Additional responsibilities include assisting the Managers in monitoring federal and state legal and regulatory changes that impact pharmacy, pharmacy benefit management or third party administrator and 503B outsourcing facility licensing or registration requirements. Responsibilities
Process new and renewal license applications for the pharmacies, which includes licenses in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Prepare any attachments and request checks. Track applications including expiration dates, supporting materials needed, and new, upcoming requirements. Contact the applicable regulating agency to clarify any questions regarding a licensing application. Process formal notifications to all licensing boards when a reportable action occurs. Maintain dashboard of all licenses & license requirements. Prepare reports and keeps abreast of external regulations including licensure, accreditation and best practices requirements. Assist Manager(s) in communicating regulation requirements to staff and complete all necessary compliance reporting. Assist Manager(s) in monitoring new changes to licensing requirements. Assist Manager(s) in regulatory and accreditation agency standard review which may include such regulatory bodies as Boards of Pharmacy or Insurance, Joint Commission, URAC, Medicare/Medicaid, NCQA, HIPAA, etc. Required Qualifications
B.S./B.A. 1 year previous experience in a compliance/licensing role in the health care industry. Proficiency in and comfort in various programs (MS Office Suite, Sharepoints, etc.) Highly organized team player Preferred Qualifications
B.S./B.A. in health care, business, or a related field 3 years previous experience in a compliance/licensing role in the health care industry Minnesota Board of Pharmacy registered pharmacy technician Benefit Overview
