About the Unit
9 Center is a 24‑bed Med/Surg unit at Butterworth Hospital that cares for general medical and surgical patients. Employees are drawn to 9‑Center for its variety of patients and its team environment. The team excels in nasogastric tube management, urinary catheter and urologic care, enteral and parenteral feeding, and wound, ostomy, tube, and drain care.

Scope of Work Deliver nursing care responsibly and accountably in compliance with the American Nurses Association (ANA) standards and Michigan state law. Apply the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation—while upholding ethical, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence‑based practice, quality, and resource utilization.

Qualifications
Associate’s in Nursing required.
Bachelor’s in Nursing required within the past 5 years.
Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA or ARC required within 90 days.
