Job Description Summary We are building a dynamic team to operate and support production equipment, ensuring high‑quality manufacturing while maintaining efficient operations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

Operate, optimize, and maintain assigned production equipment.

Meet and exceed production standards while maintaining product quality.

Minimize and prevent equipment downtime and sustain budgeted waste levels.

Maintain accurate equipment logs and record downtime and maintenance problems.

Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.

Start up equipment and ensure accurate functioning.

Monitor component inventories and safety guards.

Maintain a neat and orderly production environment.

Monitor in‑process quality and address issues as needed.

Perform required Q.C. checks and process challenges.

Follow safety and environmental procedures and Quality System Requirements.

Support upstream and downstream operations.

Perform rework as required.

Work optimally in a team environment.

Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications

H.S. Diploma/GED preferred.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an automated environment with demonstrated mechanical skills/maintenance repair.

Proficient with basic hand tools.

Knowledge of automated processes.

Proficient with mechanical components such as bushings, chain drives, conveyors, gearboxes, and ball valves.

Proficient with electrical components such as photo‑eyes, scales, reed switches, VFDs.

Experience with PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics desired.

Able to work autonomously and be self‑motivated.

Able to work any shift, including 12‑hour night or 8‑hour night shifts.

Must have clear and legible handwriting.

Work Environment

BD is a smoke‑free campus. Smoking, electronic smoking devices, marijuana, or tobacco products are not allowed on BD property.

False eyelashes, press‑on fingernails, and jewelry are not allowed on the production floor. Dermal wear must be covered.

Steel‑toe, non‑slip footwear is required on the production floor for safety.

All employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID‑19, if required. Accommodation requests will be considered per applicable law.
